Long time no post

It's been long since I opened my blog. It's good I'm given time to update it today. The past weeks in school were enjoyable. In English subject, we read a column about mothers written by Tingting Cojuangco. After reading it, I realized that a mother is strong enough to face the obstacles that come her way. She gives joy, guidance, and inspiration to her children and also her husband. I appreciate mothers for not giving up no matter what happens in life.

Aside from reading the column about mothers, we also learned the meanings of some Latin/Greek affixes and root words. I can still remember "therme" which means heat and "geo " which means earth. So if you put these words together, the result will be geothermal which means, heat produced by the earth.

We also learned about the present perfect tense and the past tense of verbs, the TQLR (Tune In, Question, Listen, Respond) approach to listen attentively to get information from an informative text; and the story, Everyday use, by Alice Walker which focuses on a family of Black Americans who value their heritage in different ways. I learned that as we put our culture into everyday use, we develop it and we don't forget it. Our heritage is really important. We cannot be where we are now without it.

Good Mothers are indeed great! No matter what. On culture, valuing it enables you to give importance to universal values. Whatever culture you consider, they help you become what you are now.
